Well that’s a wrap for 2021! What a year it’s been.

On behalf of the Market at the HUB team, I would like to sincerely thank you all for your support during the year, and in fact, since our very first market in September 2020.

Being a part of the Market at the HUB not only meant an opportunity to find a new audience for your amazing array of products, but also that you were giving back to the community via your site fees. I’m sure you will agree that it really does give you that warm fuzzy feeling to know that you have been able to help someone in need while doing something you love.

We are pleased to say that over the last 16 months, in total, the markets have raised over $18,000.00 directing funds to a number of worthwhile causes including:

• Rotary Mental Health

• SA Bushfire Appeal

• Helping SA Farmers

• Polio Plus campaign

• Foodbank

• Guide Dogs SA

• Koala Rescue

• Hutt Street Centre

• Catherine House

• Burnside CFS

• EarlyAct Backpacks for the Homeless

• Zahra Foundation

• Cancer Council SA

• Sammy D Foundation

• Burnside Kindergym defibrillator

Although confident in the concept of our event, we recognise that it hasn’t exactly gone to plan. Despite our best efforts in getting this market off the ground, as you well know, our crowd numbers have struggled and as such as market organisers (Rotary Club of Burnside), have decided that Market at the HUB will not be returning for 2022 in its current monthly format.

While it saddens us to not be bringing you a regular monthly event, we are excited to say that we are in early discussions with the team at the City of Burnside to put together a series of seasonal community events through 2022. Once we have all the details, we will let you know and give all of you the opportunity to join us again. So really, it’s not “goodbye” from us, more like a “see you later”

A huge thank you to all involved including City of Burnside, Rotary Club of Burnside, Rotary Club of Eastwood and Small Biz Gals Adelaide.
